Description:
The Human Rights Commission is responsible for setting the human rights policy of the City and for hearing complaints that are not resolved at the staff level. It can research, study and hold public hearings on matters that affect the equal rights of the general public. The Human Rights Commission also monitors and evaluates the City's Affirmative Action Plan and reports its findings semi-annually to City Council. The Commission meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. Approximately five hours per month are required of Commission members.
