BURGLARY:

400 blk. of S. Fayette St. 02-18/ 11:30 p.m. - 02-19/ 6:00 a.m. Someone broke a glass door to gain entry to the residence. Once inside, the suspect stole a purse.

3200 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 02-18/ 9:00 a.m. - 02-20/ 7:38 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residential garage through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspect stole a bicycle.

Unit blk. of Dale St. 02-19/ 11:00 p.m. - 02-20/ 6:45 a.m. Someone gained entry to the residence by undetermined means. Once inside, the suspect stole a wallet and other items.

500 blk. of Hilltop Terr. 02-19/ 9:00 p.m. - 02-20/ 9:00 a.m. The suspect forced open a door to gain entry to the residence. Once inside, the suspect stole a purse. Through investigation, police identified and located the suspect. Joseph Raymond Castell, a 34-year-old man of no fixed address, was arrested at a hotel in the 1700 block of King Street and charged with Burglary. He is being held without bond at the Alexandria jail.
