Daily Incident Report

BURGLARY:


1700 blk. of Commonwealth Ave. 05-10/ 2:00 a.m. Someone entered the residence by force through a bathroom window. The noise of the intruder entering the apartment woke the victim up. The suspect then fled on foot after being confronted by the victim. There was no suspect description given.

400 blk. of N. Armistead St. 05-09/ 6:30 p.m. - 05-10/ 9:00 p.m. Someone entered the residence by unknown means and stole money.


GRAND LARCENY AUTO:


800 blk. of S. Pickett St. 05-10/ between12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Some unknown suspects stole Four Ryder rental trucks filled with Ethan Allen furniture. The total cost of the stolen furniture was estimated at $500,000. The words "Ethan Allen" are on each side of the trucks, which are further described as being 1998 Mack trucks, blue and white in color. It should be noted that one of the trucks was recovered the same day in Prince George's County - in the 5400 block of Indian Head Highway. The furniture had been removed and the truck was towed back to Alexandria.


3400 blk. of Branch Ave. 05-09/ between 2:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Stolen: 1988 Toyota Camry, 4door, grey.
