ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

TUESDAY, MAY 27, 2003

ROBBERY:

3000 blk. of Duke St. 05-22/ 2:40 p.m. The victims, a 16-year-old male Arlington County resident, and an18-year-old male Fairfax County resident were robbed by four men. The suspects approached the two victims, one of suspects produced a knife, another a pair of scissors, and both demanded money. While the victims were complying, one of the suspects lunged at the victim and cut him in his hand. The two victims continued to comply with the suspect's demands and complied by emptying their pockets. The suspects then fled on foot with money and a cellular telephone from the victims. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 16-17 years old, 5'5"-5'7", 160-165 pounds and was wearing a black coat, black pants and white sneakers. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 16-17 years old, 5'8"-5'9", 150 pounds and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a blue bandanna to cover his face, dark pants and white sneakers. Suspects # 3 and 4 were described as black males.

4610 Kenmore Ave. 05-25/ 1:24 a.m. The victims, both 50-year-old male City residents, were robbed at gunpoint. The victims, working as night clerks at a convenience store, observed the suspect enter the store, display a handgun and demanded money. The clerks complied and the suspect then fled on foot. Before exiting the store, the suspect discharged his weapon. No one was injured. The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 years old, medium build and was wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and a white cloth used to cover his face.

1101 N. Washington St. 05-26/ 10:20 p.m. The victim, a 22-year old female and resident of Fairfax County, was robbed at knife point. The victim, a night clerk at the hotel, observed the suspect enter the front lobby area and approach the front counter. The suspect jumped over the front counter, produced a knife and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, 35-40 years old, 5'10", 200-250 pounds and was wearing blue jeans, a flannel shirt with red and grey vertical stripes and a grey baseball cap. He was clean shaven with a mole on his upper lip.

BURGLARY:

100 blk. of Duke St. 05-23/ between 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. The suspect entered the victim's garage, and stole the victim's white 2002 Chevrolet van.

700 blk. of S. Union St. 05-23/ 8:00 p.m. - 05-24/ 7:45 a.m. Someone entered the victim's residence by force through a rear patio door. Once inside, the suspect stole electronic equipment and jewelry.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

800 blk. of S. Alfred St. 05-23/ 10:45 p.m. - 05-24/ 11:00 a.m. Stolen: 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, 2 door, white.

600 blk. of N. Pelham St. 05-21/ between 12:30 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. Stolen: 2000 Honda Accord, 2 door, dark green.

Unit blk. of N. Gordon St. 05-24/ 11:30 p.m. - 05-25/ 10:30 a.m. Stolen: 1997 Honda Accord, 4 door, burgundy.

400 blk. of Cambridge Rd. 05-25/ between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Stolen: 1996 Honda Accord, 4 door, white.

Unit blk. of S. Reynolds St. 05-26/ between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Stolen: 1989 Jeep Wrangler, 2 door, blue.

200 blk. of Swamp Fox Rd. 05-26/ between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Stolen: 1998 Nissan Sentra, 4 door, light blue.
