ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

3900 block of Taney Ave. 07-22/ 5:22 p.m. The victim, tentatively identified as a 39-year-old Maryland man, was stabbed at a residence. He ran down the street for help and collapsed on North Early Street near Duke Street. He was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect fled from the scene in a silver Lexus GS 300. An officer observed the vehicle traveling on Duke Street and pursued it onto northbound I-395. The suspect and a passenger bailed out of the vehicle near the Glebe Road exit. Both were located nearby and taken into custody. One of the subjects was arrested and charged with Murder. Momolu Sirleaf, a 30-year-old man of no fixed address, is being held without bond at the Alexandria jail. The second subject is considered a witness and is not being detained. A motive for the stabbing has not been determined, and investigation continues.
50 S. Pickett St. 07-21/ 9:20 p.m. - 07-22/ 9:00 a.m. Someone broke out the glass in a door to gain entry to the business. Once inside, the suspect stole clothing.

1200 blk. of First St. 07-22/ between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Stolen: 1993 Alfa Romeo Spider, convertible, black and green.
400 blk. of S. Columbus St. 07-02/ 7:00 p.m. - 07-05/ 9:30 p.m. Stolen: 1999 Toyota Tacoma, pick-up truck, black.
