ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2003

ROBBERY:

4100 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 10-20/ 10:45 p.m. The victim, a 46-year-old Alexandria man, was assaulted by three suspects. They struck him with sticks and robbed him of money. The victim received stitches at Alexandria Hospital for a laceration to his head. The suspects are described as white Hispanic males wearing dark clothing.

3200 blk. of S. 28th St. 10-21/ 9:20 p.m. The victim, a 31-year-old Alexandria man, was walking from his car when two suspects approached him. One displayed a handgun and the other attempted to restrain him and strike him with his fists. The suspects demanded money from the victim and removed money from his pocket. Both suspects then fled on foot. The victim sustained an abrasion on his head. Suspect #1, who had the gun, is described as a black male, 25-30, 5'10"-6'2", 150-180 lbs. and wearing a black shirt, black pants and a costume mask. Suspect #2, who assaulted the victim, is described as a white male, 25-30, 5'10"-6'2", 150-180 lbs., and wearing a black shirt, black pants and a costume mask.

3800 blk. of King St. 10-21/ 8:22 p.m. The victim, a 22-year-old Alexandria woman, was walking when the suspect approached her from behind. He grabbed her purse and when she resisted, she was pulled to the ground. The suspect stole the purse and fled on foot, running toward a nearby shopping center. The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require medical attention. The suspect is described as a white male, 18-25, 5'6"-5'8", and wearing a black cap, dark shirt and baggy blue jeans.

BURGLARY:

300 blk. of S. Whiting St. 10-08/ 2:00 p.m. - 10-20/ 3:00 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residence by undetermined means and stole electronic equipment and money.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

Unit blk. of Herbert St. 10-20/ 9:15 p.m. Stolen: 2001 Isuzu Trooper, SUV, green and silver.
