ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

MONDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2003

FELONIOUS ASSAULT:

3800 blk. of Executive Ave. 12-25/ 4:30 a.m. The victim, a 29-year-old Alexandria man, was struck on the head with a beer bottle. He was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital where he received stitches. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 25-35.

4300 King St. 12-27/ 10:30 p.m. The victim, a 19-year-old Alexandria man, was working as a server at a restaurant when he became involved in an argument with a man having dinner there. The two left the restaurant and went into a hallway where the argument continued. The suspect then pulled out a knife and cut the victim. Another employee and other people from the restaurant intervened. The suspect fled from the scene. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury to his torso. The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10", 200 lbs., and wearing grey clothing.

ROBBERY:

400 blk. of N. Peyton St. 12-23/ between 9:30 p.m. and 10:05 p.m. The victim, a 49-year-old Alexandria man, was driving a cab when he picked up a fare in Arlington. As they traveled on North Peyton St., the fare placed something against the victim's head and threatened him. The suspect demanded money and the cab. The victim complied and after getting out of the cab, the victim saw the suspect drive off. The cab, a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria, was located a short time later in the 1700 block of King St. The victim was not injured. The suspect is described as a black male, 30-35, 5'9"-6'1", 165-195 lbs., and wearing a black coat, dark pants and a dark baseball cap.

BURGLARY:

500 blk. of N. Columbus St. 12-23/ 6:00 p.m. - 12-24/ 5:30 a.m. Someone forced open a temporary door to gain entry to the garage. Once inside, the suspect stole a bicycle.

200 blk. of Luna Park Dr. 12-26/ 10:00 a.m. Someone forced open a door to gain entry to the residence. It is not yet known what was stolen.

1705 N. Beauregard St. 12-27/ between 7:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Someone forced open a door to gain entry to the parking garage booth. A cash register was opened but nothing was stolen.

600 blk. of N. Latham St. 12-24/ 7:00 p.m. - 12-27/ 8:21 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residence by undetermined means. Once inside, the suspect stole keys including those for a car parked at the residence. A white, 2003 Cadillac DeVille was stolen and later recovered in the 800 block of Burnside Pl.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

5000 blk. of Dawes Ave. 12-22/ 11:00 a.m. - 12-23/ 12:40 p.m. Stolen: 1990 Dodge, van, blue.

1100 blk. of Roan La. 12-19/ between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. Stolen: 2003 Land Rover Discovery, SUV, maroon.

4900 blk. of Seminary Rd. 12-26/ 8:00 p.m. - 12-27/ 2:45 p.m. Stolen: 1997 Mazda Miata MX5, convertible, black.
