Daily Incident Report




1000 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 01-28/ 5:10 a.m. The victim, a 47-year-old male City resident, was walking to a friends house when he was approached by a man. The suspect struck the victim in the face with an unknown object while a second suspect grabbed him from behind and stole his wallet. After the assault and robbery, the two suspects fled on foot. The victim was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital where he was treated for a minor injury and released. Both suspects were described as black males, 20-30 years old, and 5'10"- 6'2". One of the suspects was wearing a black NFL Raiders jacket and the other a burgundy hooded sweatshirt.

4300 blk. of Raleigh Ave. 01-28/ 7:50 p.m. The victim, a 24-year-old male Washington, D.C. resident, was walking when he observed a vehicle pull in front of him and park a short distance away. A man exited the car and quickly approached the victim. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect ran back to the car which immediately left the area. The suspect is described as a black male, 18-25 years old, 5'10"-6', 160-170 pounds and was wearing a black coat, a green do-rag and blue jeans.


1039 W. Glebe Rd. 01-27/ 10:30 p.m. - 01-28/ 11:00 a.m. Someone entered the business by force through a front glass door. Once inside, the suspect stole money.

1725 Duke St. 01-27/ 3:30 p.m. - 01-28/ 7:47 a.m. Someone entered the business by unknown means and stole electronic equipment and luggage.


400 blk. of N. Fayette St. 01-27/ 1:35 p.m. Stolen: 1981 Mercedes-Benz, 4 door, tan.
