ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS
MONDAY, MARCH 22, 2004
2200 blk. of N. Van Dorn St. 03-19/ 9:45 p.m. The victim, a 33-year-old male City resident, exited his apartment and discovered four men tampering with his car. As he approached the suspects, one of them displayed a knife and the victim went back inside his apartment and called police. The suspects fled the area on foot after stealing one of the victim's tires. Police discovered that additional tires had been stolen from other cars in the area and were able to recover some of them as they searched the area. The suspects were described as Hispanic males, all in their 30's, and the man with the knife wore black pants.
2104 Mt. Vernon Ave. 03-19/ 6:40 p.m. Someone entered the business by force through a window. Police responded and discovered an individual inside. A short time later, the suspect, Ronnie Swain, a 41-year-old male with no fixed address, surrendered to police and was taken to police headquarters. Swain was later charged with Burglary.
1600 blk. of W. Abingdon Dr. 03-19/ between 8:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means and stole jewelry, electronic equipment and money.

3800 blk. of Milan Dr. 03-18/ 6:30 p.m. - 03-19/ 5:30 a.m. Stolen: 1998 Ford Econoline van, white.
300 blk. of N. Beauregard St. 03-18/ 11:00 p.m. - 03-19/ 9:00 p.m. Stolen: 1986 Ford Mustang, convertible, maroon.
