ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

UPDATE ON ESCAPE PRISONER:
Yesterday afternoon at 2:40 p.m., a man suspected in a series of robberies escaped from the Alexandria police facility at 2034 Eisenhower Avenue. Rajee L. Wyatt, 27,was at the police facility in connection with a series of commercial robberies that occurred last fall. He was left unattended for a moment and escaped from the office.
Police searched the surrounding area and outgoing Metro trains for the suspect but did not find him during their initial search. However, at approximately 10:15 p.m., the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, run by the U.S. Marshal Service, apprehended Wyatt in the 500 block of 50th Place, NE, Washington, D.C.
Alexandria police have obtained an arrest warrant for Escape and are in the process of extraditing Wyatt back to Alexandria.
