ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS
MONDAY, JULY 19, 2004
SEXUAL ASSAULT & ARMED BURGLARY:
3900 blk. of Bruce St. 07-19/ 1:43 a.m. The victims, two Alexandria women ages 18 and 20, were confronted by an armed suspect in their home. The suspect had gained entry to the residence through a window. Armed with a knife, he sexually assaulted one victim. The suspect fled when he heard someone else inside the residence. The suspect is described as an Hispanic male wearing dark clothing.
FELONIOUS ASSAULT:
800 blk. of N. Columbus St. The victim, a 6-year-old male was shot in the head with a pellet gun while playing in his backyard. The suspect, a 15-year-old and resident of the City was caught nearby and arrested for Malicious Wounding, Discharging a Firearm in Public and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. The juvenile is being detained at the Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Facility. The victim suffered a cut to his head however, he did not require medical attention.
ROBBERY:
Intersection of Commonwealth Ave. and W. Reed Ave. 07-17/ 4:15 a.m. The victim, a 41-year-old female City resident, was approached by two men. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspects fled on foot.
BURGLARY:
5320 Eisenhower Ave. 07-15/ 6:00 p.m. - 07-16/ 5:56 a.m. Someone entered the business by force through the front door. Nothing appears to have been stolen.
5230 Eisenhower Ave. 07-15/ 8:30 p.m. - 07-16/ 7:00 a.m. Someone entered the business by undetermined means and stole money and electronic equipment.
GRAND LARCENY AUTO:
200 blk. of Stovall St. 07-16/ between 1:15 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. Stolen: 2002 Yamaha motorcycle, blue.
200 blk of Wesmond Dr. 07-17/ between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Stolen: 1996 Toyota Camry, 2 door, green.
