ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS
MONDAY, AUGUST 16, 2004
ABDUCTION:
206 Swamp Fox Rd. 08-13/ 10:00 p.m. The victim, a 15-year-old Fairfax County girl, had stepped outside of a movie theater to make a phone call. As she walked back in, the suspect grabbed her and tried to restrain her. She resisted and was able to break away. Officers located the suspect, who works for the cleaning crew there, in a nearby hallway. Mario Ortiz Suarez, 23, of 5718 Seminary Rd., Apt. 5, was arrested and charged with Abduction. He is being held at the Alexandria jail on a $10,000 bond. The victim suffered abrasions to her face but did not need medical treatment.
BURGLARY:
5249 Duke St. 08-14/ 6:30 p.m. - 08-15/ 8:32 a.m. At least 18 health care offices in the building were burglarized. The suspect(s) gained entry by forcing or prying the doors open. Once inside, they stole cash and other items.

5700 blk. of Dunster Ct. 08-12/ 5:00 a.m. - 08-14/ 10:10 p.m. Stolen: 2004 Dodge Intrepid, 4 door, silver.
200 blk. of Duke St. 08-13/ between 2:30 p.m. and 4:54 p.m. Stolen: 1997 Volkswagen Golf, 4 door, black.
3600 blk. of Jefferson Davis Hwy. 08-13/ between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Stolen: 1997 Cadillac DeVille, 4 door, maroon.
400 blk. of E. Raymond Ave. 08-13/ between 2:35 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Stolen: 1997 BMW 540i, 4 door, black.
