ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2004

ATTEMPT SEXUAL ASSAULT

600 blk. of S. St. Asaph St. 10-03/ 2:00 a.m. The victim, a 30-year-old Alexandria woman was walking home when she was attacked by a man. The suspect approached from behind, grabbed the victim and knocked her to the ground. The suspect then pulled her pants down and dragged her to a nearby driveway. The victim struggled and fought with her attacker who was described as an Hispanic male, 5'6"-5'9", 165-180 pounds and wearing a light colored shirt and dark pants. The suspect stole the victim's pocketbook and fled from the scene on foot. The victim sustained minor bruising during the assault.

ROBBERY:

500 blk. of S. Alfred St. 10-04/ 3:40 p.m. The victim, a 44-year-old Alexandria woman, was approached from behind by a man. The suspect, who was armed with a wooden object, confronted the victim and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a black male 40 years old, 5'8", 180 pounds and was wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans.

800 blk. of Montgomery St. 10-06/ 2:45 a.m. The victim, a 24-year-old Alexandria man, was robbed at knife point and stabbed. The victim was walking through an alley when he was approached by a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The suspect displayed a knife and robbed the victim. During the robbery, the suspect slashed out at the victim cutting him in the arm and thigh. The injuries were non-life threatening. The suspect was seen fleeing on foot with another man who was dressed in all dark clothing.

BURGLARY:

5700 blk. of Eliot Ct. 10-01/ 7:30 a.m. - 10-04/ 11:00 p.m. Someone entered the residence by force through a kitchen window. Once inside, the suspect stole electronic equipment and magazines.

300 blk. of S. Reynolds St. 10-05/ between 7:45 p.m. and 7:50 p.m. Someone entered the residence without force and stole the victim's car keys. The suspect then stole the victim's purple four-door 1998 Plymouth Breeze which was parked outside the apartment building.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

1500 blk. of Kenwood Ave. 09-30/ 4:30 p.m. - 10-04/ 12:00 p.m. Stolen: 2004 Cadillac Escalade, white.
