ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 12, 2004

ROBBERY:

3900 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 10-08/ 11:20 p.m. The victim, a 47-year-old store manager, was robbed by two men, one was armed with a handgun. The suspects entered the business, one of them displayed a handgun, and demanded money while the second suspect stole money from a cash drawer. Suspect #1 who was armed with the handgun, is described as an Hispanic male, 25-30 years old, 5'5", 125 pounds and was wearing a grey sweater, blue jeans and a grey handkerchief which was used to cover his face. Suspect #2 is described as a male, 25-30 years old, 5'5", 125 pounds and was wearing grey Timberland boots and a grey handkerchief that he used to cover his face. Suspect #1 also stole the victim's cellular telephone before both suspects fled on foot.

BURGLARY:

1900 blk. of Commonwealth Ave. 10-01/ 5:00 p.m. - 10-08/ 7:41 a.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means and stole silverware and jewelry.

5500 blk. of N. Morgan St. 10-09/ between 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Someone entered the residence by force through an open window and stole electronic games.

200 blk. of N. Alfred St. 10-09/ 3:50 a.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means. A house guest was awakened by a noise and discovered a man standing near the stairs. The suspect, described as a black male 50-60 years old, and wearing a red and blue shirt with a baseball cap, then left through the front door. Police were called and searched the area however, did not locate the man. It was later discovered that the suspect had stolen a digital camera, money, a purse, credit cards and jewelry.

5100 blk. of Fillmore Ave. 10-08/ 9:00 p.m. - 10-09/ 9:00 a.m. Stolen: 1994 Honda Accord, 4 door, blue.

Intersection of Maris Ave. and N. Van Dorn St. 10-06/ 11:40 p.m. - 10-07/ 6:25 a.m. Stolen: 1991 Jaguar, 4 door, green.

4400 blk. of Raleigh Ave. 10-06/ 9:00 a.m. - 10-09/ 9:11 a.m. Stolen: 1997 Honda Civic, 2 door, black.

3800 blk. of Milan Dr. 10-10/ 2:40 a.m. Stolen: 1995 Honda Civic, 4 door, grey.

600 blk. of S. Pickett St. 10-10/ 12:00 p.m. - 10-11/ 7:00 a.m. Stolen: 1979 Ford F250, pickup truck, grey.
