ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2004



ROBBERY:

5500 blk. of Ascot Ct. 10-13/ 12:55 a.m. The victim, a 27-year-old cab driver, had picked up a fare at the Van Dorn Street Metro Station and brought the individual to Ascot Court. When the cab stopped, the suspect produced a handgun forced the driver outside the vehicle and stole his car keys, wallet and his cellular telephone. A second man approached and stood by as the robbery took place. Then, both suspects fled on foot. The victim was not injured. The initial suspect is described as a black male, 20-30 years old and was earing a grey coat. There was no further description on the second man.

BURGLARY:

5800 Edsall Rd. 10-08/ 11:00 p.m. - 10-11/ 5:30 a.m. Someone entered the business by force through a rear glass door. Once inside, the suspect stole power tools.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

5800 blk. of Edsall Rd. 10-01/ 10:00 a.m. - 10-11/ 3:00 p.m. Stolen: 2002 Nissan Maxima, 4 door, grey.

3400 blk. of King St. 10-11/ between 3:00 p.m. and 3:05 p.m. Stolen: 1993 Izuzu Trooper, sports utility, white.
