ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2004



SUSPICIOUS DEATHS:

Alexandria police are investigating two deaths that were discovered early this morning at approximately 12:38 a.m. in the 5700 block of Reading Avenue.

Late last night, police were called by a family member to check on the welfare of the victims. Police responded to the Hillwood at Mark Center apartment complex, and with the help of management staff, they entered the secured apartment. Inside they found the deceased victims; a 33-year-old male and his wife, a 31-year-old female. The victims' identities are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. It appears that the deaths were domestic related.

An autopsy is expected later today to determine the exact cause of deaths.

BURGLARY:

400 blk. of S. Columbus St. 10-20/ between 12:15 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Someone entered the residence through an unsecured door and stole money, a purse and electronic equipment.

500 blk. of Slaters Ln. 10-16/ 10:00 a.m. - 10-20/ 9:15 a.m. Someone forced entry into a locked desk drawer of the business and stole money.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

Unit blk. of S. Van Dorn St. 10-20/ between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Stolen: 2001 Honda Accord, 4 door, green.

2700 blk. of Duke St. 10-20/ 9:00 p.m. - 10-21/ 10:00 a.m. Stolen; 2000 Suzuki Vitara, sport utility, green/grey.
