ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

ARMED ABDUCTION:
400 blk. of Argyle St. 12-07/ 11:35 p.m. The victim, a 55-year-old Alexandria man, was abducted from his home by two armed men. The suspects posing as law enforcement officers forced their way into a home and abducted the victim. A short time later, police received a number of calls from residents in the 200 block of Yoakum Parkway. Callers alerted police to suspicious activity occurring in a nearby wooded area. After searching the area, police located the abduction victim in the woods behind the condominium complex and apprehended a suspect. The suspect, a 75-year-old man, was taken into custody and transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital after complaining of having chest pains. The abduction victim was not seriously injured and was attended to by a medic unit on the scene. A few hours later, a second suspect, a 38-year-old man, was also located and taken into police custody. Criminal charges are pending for both suspects.
