ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

MONDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2004



ROBBERY:

1000 blk. of King St. 12-10/ between 2:41 p.m. and 3:44 p.m. Three suspects attempted to rob two victims by displaying a knife and making threats. In the first case, the suspects approached a 31-year-old Alexandria man who was walking along the sidewalk with a friend. The suspects approached from behind, displayed a knife and demanded his coat. The victim and his friend ran away and the victim entered a nearby business for safety while his friend took up a position on the street corner and called police. The suspects then fled from the area on foot. A short time later, the suspects were in the area of King and Peyton Streets when they approached a second victim, a 35-year-old Stafford County man and attempted to rob him. The suspects approached the victim from behind and demanded his jacket. As in the first attempt robbery, one of the suspects displayed a knife and demanded the victim's coat. The victim ran away and the suspects gave chase. Police had arrived in the area and were able to apprehend all three suspects. The suspects, each of them 15-year-old juveniles from Washington, D.C., were charged with Attempt Armed Robbery and taken to the Northern Virginia Juvenile Detention Facility. The victims were not injured.

400 blk. of S. Van Dorn St. 12-10/ between 8:01 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. The victim, a 45-year-old female City resident, was approached by a man. The suspect grabbed her purse and a struggle ensued however, the suspect managed to gain control of the purse and then fled from the scene. The suspect is described as a black male, 19-21 years old, 5'9"-6' and was wearing a dark colored ski mask, blue coat and blue pants.

BURGLARY:

4800 blk. of Fillmore Ave. 12-09/ between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means and stole a wallet.

200 blk. of S. Reynolds St. 12-12/ between 12:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means. Nothing was stolen.

300 blk. of S. Whiting St. 12-12/ between 6:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means and stole electronic equipment.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

5100 blk. of Duke St. 12-06/ 9:00 a.m. - 12-07/ 9:00 a.m. Stolen: 2001 Nissan Maxima, 4 door, grey.

800 blk. of Bashford Ln. 12-11/ between 2:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Stolen: 1996 Honda Accord, 4 door, gold.

5500 blk. of Holmes Run Pkwy. 12-10/ 4:00 p.m. - 12-11/ 7:30 a.m. Stolen: 1992 Infiniti Q45, 4 door, grey.

1200 blk. of S. Washington St. 12-10/ between 2:00 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. Stolen: 1996 Mercedes-Benz, 300, 4 door, blue.

2200 blk. of N. Pickett St. 12-09/ 10:00 p.m. Stolen: 1993 Isuzu Rodeo, sport utility, red.
