ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

TUESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2005

ROBBERY-CARJACKING:

1000 blk. of N. Henry St. 01-11/ 8:09 a.m. The victim, a 65-year-old Maryland man, was getting into his car when the suspect approached him. The suspect struck the victim and implied he had a weapon. He then robbed the victim of the car, a four-door 2002 Cadillac. Officers saw the fleeing vehicle in the area and began to follow it. When the suspect did not stop, officers pursued it through Del Ray and into Arlington. The pursuit went onto northbound I-395 at South Glebe Road and ended at the Washington Boulevard exit near the Pentagon. The suspect was taken into custody and charges are pending.
