ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

HOMICIDE:
700 blk. of N. Fayette St. 03-08/ 10:58 p.m. The victim, a 21-year-old City resident, was shot multiple times. Police and medic units responded to the 700 block of North Fayette Street and discovered the victim suffering from multiple gun shot wounds to the upper body. The victim was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m. Officers and detectives secured the scene and conducted a comprehensive canvass of the area in attempts to locate witnesses. ROBBERY:
3900 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 03-07/ 10:02 p.m. The victim, a 78-year-old female City resident, was walking home when she was approached from behind by a woman. The suspect grabbed the victim and stole her wallet. The suspect then fled from the area on foot. The suspect is described as a black female, 30-40 years old, 5'6"-5'8", 230-260 pounds and was wearing a red jacket and dark pants.
