ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

MONDAY, MAY 2, 2005



ROBBERY:

Unit blk. of W. Reed Ave. 04-28/ 10:20 p.m. The victim, a 22-year-old male City resident, was riding his bicycle as he passed three individuals standing on the sidewalk. As the victim passed the suspects, one of the men punched him in the face knocking the victim off of his bicycle. The suspects continued their assault and robbed the victim. After the assault and robbery, the suspects fled on foot. All three suspects were described as black males, 20-25 years old and one of the suspects was wearing a grey long sleeve shirt and black jeans.

Unit blk. of W. Reed Ave. 04-28/ between 10:19 p.m. and 10:29 p.m. The victim, a 55-year-old male City resident, was attacked by two men. The suspects beat him and stole his wallet. There was no further description on the suspects. This robbery and the one previously mentioned may be related.

235 N. Payne St. 04-29/ 12:45 p.m. The victim, an 82-year-old female Fairfax County resident, was working at a local market when a man entered the store, approached the counter and demanded money. A weapon was implied. The victim complied and the suspect fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white male with short cropped hair and was wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt. The victim was not injured.

BURGLARY:

400 blk. of S. Columbus St. 04-11/ 12:00 p.m. - 04-28/ 2:30 p.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means and stole money.

200 blk. of S. Reynolds St. 04-29/ 10:40 p.m. Someone entered a vacant residence by force through a side window. Police were called to the scene and stopped the suspect near the apartment complex. The suspect was taken to police headquarters for further questioning. The suspect, Gregory A. Keith, a 48-year-old male of 5911 Edsall Road, #513, was arrested and charged with Burglary.

4840 Eisenhower Ave. 05-01/ 3:19 p.m. Someone entered the business by force through the front door. Once inside, the suspect stole keys and a computer.

Unit blk. of Canterbury Sq. 04-25/ 11:30 p.m. - 04-29/ 2:00 p.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means and stole jewelry.

3800 blk. of Old Dominion Blvd. 04-30/ between 8:40 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. Someone entered the residence through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspect stole money.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

5800 blk. of Duke St. 04-30/ between 10:30 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. Stolen: 2000 Honda Passport, sport utility, black.

5400 blk. of Sheffield Ct. 04-28/ 11:00 p.m. - 04-29/ 7:40 p.m. Stolen: 1994 Toyota Camry, 4 door, gold.

6300 blk. of Stevenson Ave. 04-30/ 10:00 p.m. - 05-01/ 3:40 p.m. Stolen: 1994 Honda Accord, 4 door, green.

3400 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 05-01/ between 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Stolen: 2003 Dodge 1500 pickup truck, white.

800 blk. of S. Patrick St. 04-29/ 6:00 p.m. - 04-30/ 1:00 p.m. Stolen: 2000 Yamaha motorcycle, blue/white.

200 blk. of Yoakum Pkwy. 04-29/ 7:30 p.m. - 04-30/ 2:00 p.m. Stolen: 2005 Cadillac, sport utility, white.
