ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

MONDAY, MAY 23, 2005

FELONIOUS ASSAULT:

3412 Mt. Vernon Ave. 05-21/ 3:08 a.m. The victim, a 12-year-old Fairfax girl, was in a convenience store when a stranger stabbed her in the back. The victim was with a friend inside the store when she and her friend got into a scuffle. As they were fighting, a man walked up to her and stabbed her in the back. The victim and her friend ran from the store but the suspect remained on the scene. Police located him there and took him into custody. The girl was transported by an adult to Inova Alexandria Hospital where she was treated for a non-life-threatening injury and released. The suspect, Mishak Nau, 43, of no fixed address, was charged with Malicious Wounding. He is being held at the Alexandria jail.

BURGLARY:

3200 blk. of S. 28th Sq. 04-23/ 9:00 a.m. - 05-19/ 2:35 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residence by undetermined means. Once inside, the suspect stole a bank card.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

Unit blk. of S. Reynolds St. 05-20/ between 4:45 a.m. and 4:55 a.m. Stolen: 1999 Toyota Camry, 4 door, green.

4600 blk. of Seminary Rd. 05-18/ 5:00 p.m. - 05-19/ 6:00 a.m. Stolen: 1994 Honda Civic, 4 door, white.

200 blk. of Swamp Fox Rd. 05-20/ 11:00 p.m. - 05-21/ 2:30 a.m. Stolen: 1990 Nissan 300-ZX, 2-door, gold.
