ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

WEDNESDAY, JULY 20, 2005



FELONIOUS ASSAULT:

5700 blk. of Edsall Rd. 07-19/ between 1:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. The victim, a 41-year-old Rockville man, was assaulted by three men in a parking lot. The victim reports that he was approached by one subject who asked for money. When the victim refused, another subject struck him on the head. The victim went inside a convenience store and asked the clerk to call police. The three men entered the same store and confronted the victim near the counter. Two began to assault him while the third restrained him. The suspects then fled in an unknown direction. The victim was treated for a sprained arm and other minor injuries at Virginia Hospital Center. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5'8"-5'9", 180-185 pounds and was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5'2"-5'4", 145-150 pounds and was wearing a white shirt and black pants. Suspect #3 is described as a black male, 18-20 years old, 5'6"-5'7", 150-155 pounds and was wearing a white shirt.

ROBBERY:

5300 blk. of Knole Ct. 07-19/ between 8:45 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The victim, an 18-year-old Alexandria man, was driving in a car with two acquaintances for the purpose of buying drugs. One of the suspects threatened the victim with a gun and demanded money. The victim complied. The suspects, left in a white, four-door Ford Crown Victoria. Suspect #1 is a black male, 19-21 years old and the other is a black male 17-18 years old. Detectives are following up on this case.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

1700 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 07-19/ between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Stolen: 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe sport utility, silver.
