Daily Incident Report

ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

MONDAY, AUGUST 22, 2005

FELONIOUS ASSAULT:

900 blk. of Montgomery St. 08-20/ between 9:55 p.m. and 10:02 p.m. The victim, a three-year-old Alexandria boy, was shot with a BB gun. The child was out playing in a nearby playground with other children when he ran towards his mother crying. An ambulance was called after the victim's mother noticed that the child had been shot. He was treated at Inova Alexandria Hospital for his minor injury and released. Police attempted to locate the person who was shooting the BB gun but they did not locate any suspects. No other children were injured.

ROBBERY:

Intersection of Mt. Vernon Ave. and W. Glebe Rd. 08-20/ 1:00 a.m. The victim, a 24-year-old male City resident, was approached by three men. The suspects, described as being Hispanic males, began to talk to the victim when suddenly one of the suspects grabbed the victim's gold necklace from his neck and ran away. The victim gave chase but did not catch the suspects as they fled from the scene.

BURGLARY:

1100 King St. 08-20/ 6:00 p.m. - 08-21/ 11:30 a.m. Someone entered the business by undetermined means and stole money.

400 blk. of Oronoco St. 08-20/ 10:30 .am. - 08-21/ 9:22 a.m. Someone entered the victim's garage which was left unlocked and stole a bicycle.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

5600 blk. of Derby Ct. 08-19/ 9:00 p.m. - 08-20/ 9:45 a.m. Stolen: 1998 Cadillac Eldorado, 2 door, green.

5300 blk. of Essex Ct. 08-17/ 3:00 p.m. - 08-20/ 7:00 p.m. Stolen: 2005 Ford Taurus, 4 door, silver.
