ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24, 2005

ATTEMPT BURGLARY:

Unit blk. of E. Glebe Rd. 08-23/ 3:50 a.m. The victim, a 26-year-old Alexandria woman, heard noises and discovered someone trying to break into her residence. The victim screamed and the suspect fled on foot. There was no description on the suspect but investigation reveals that the suspect attempted to gain entry by breaking out a window.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

900 blk. of N. Ashton St. 08-23/ between 1:05 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Stolen: 2000 Honda Civic, 2 door, black and silver.

100 blk. of Lynhaven Dr. 08-19/ 6:50 p.m. - 08-22/ 11:00 p.m. Stolen: 1984 Ford Escort, 2 door, green.

1300 blk. of Braddock Pl. 08-19/ 7:30 p.m. Stolen: 1996 Plymouth Voyager, minivan, grey.
