ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2005

FELONIOUS ASSAULT:

Unit blk. of E. Mason Ave. 09-04/ 10:00 p.m. The victim, a 61-year-old male City resident, was walking through an alley when two suspects approached him. One or both struck him on the head with an unknown object and both then fled. The victim suffered minor injuries. The suspects are described as Hispanic males.

ROBBERY:

3800 blk. of Russell Rd. 09-05/ 1:50 a.m. The victim, a 26-year-old male City resident, was walking home when he was approached by two men. The suspects attacked and assaulted him. During the assault, the suspects reached into the victim's pockets and removed his wallet. Both suspects then fled from the area on foot. The suspects were described as Hispanic males.

BURGLARY:

5800 blk. of Quantrell Ave. 08-30/ 10:00 p.m. - 09-02/ 10:00 a.m. Someone gained entry to the residence by undetermined means. Once inside, the suspect stole jewelry and furnishings.

3601 Russell Rd. 08-29/ between 1:00 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. The suspect broke out a window to gain entry to the church. Once inside, the suspect stole clothing and a poster. Police arrived and located the suspect on the scene. David A. Martinez, 26, of 6434 Edsall Road, apartment 101, Alexandria, was charged with Burglary.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

5300 blk. of Taney Ave. 08-28/ 8:00 a.m. - 09-02/ 9:00 a.m. Stolen: 1996 Honda Accord, 4 door, green.

2900 blk. of Milan Dr. 09-03/ between 4:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Stolen: 1997 Toyota Corolla, 4 door, red.

400 blk. of S. Pickett St. 09-02/ 9:30 p.m. - 09-03/ 8:00 a.m. Stolen: 2005 GMC Yukon, 4 door, white.
