ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2005

ROBBERY:

140 S. Van Dorn St. 12-07/ 6:30 p.m. The victim, a 26-year-old Alexandria woman, was working at the business as a night clerk, when two suspects wearing black masks entered the convenience store. One of the suspects displayed a handgun and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspects fled on foot. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 18-25 years old, 5'11"-6', 180-190 pounds and was wearing a green coat and a dark hat. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 18-25 years old, 5'-5'5", 180-185 pounds and was wearing a black coat and a dark hat. There were no injuries.

301 N. Ripley St. 12-08/ 9:52 p.m. The victims, both 56-year-old women non-City residents, were robbed at gunpoint by two black males. The suspects were wearing masks as they entered the convenience store, one of the men was armed with a handgun and they demanded money. The victims complied and the suspects fled from the store on foot.

Both of these robbery cases have been assigned to the Criminal Investigations Section. Detectives will review these cases to determine if the robberies were committed by the same two suspects.

BURGLARY:

Unit blk. of W. Nelson Ave. 12-06/ between 1:45 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Someone entered the residence by undetermined means. Nothing appears to have been stolen.
