ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2006

FELONIOUS ASSAULT:

700 blk. of Four Mile Rd. 01-20/ between 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The victim, a 24-year-old Alexandria man, was approached by two men who demanded money. The victim attempted to run away and as he did, one of the suspects shot him in the leg. The suspects, described as black males, were seen entering a white Chevrolet Tahoe and leaving the area. The victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening injury.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY:

5800 blk. of Edsall Rd. 01-21/ between 2:00 a.m. and 2:35 a.m. The victim, a 37-year-old Alexandria man, was approached by two men in the 300 block of South Van Dorn Street. The suspects asked the victim if he wanted a ride home and the victim accepted. The victim and both suspects entered a red two-door Nissan and drove a short distance away. When they arrived at the destination on Edsall Road, the suspects demanded money and the victim was pulled from the car and assaulted. The suspects then left and the victim called police. The suspects are described as black males, 30-40 years old 6', and weighed approximately 170 pounds.

100 blk. of N. Ripley St. 01-21/ between 1:00 a.m. and 1:30 a..m. Stolen: 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, 2 door, white.
