ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

ROBBERY:
2400 blk. of Menokin Dr. 02-02/ 10:340 p.m. The victim, a 26-year-old Alexandria woman, was approached by a man. The suspect grabbed her purse and a brief struggle ensued. The suspect gained control and fled with the victim's purse. The victim was not injured. The suspect, described as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5'10"-6'1", 160-180 pounds with short hair and a dark complexion, was seen entering a black sport utility vehicle that was parked nearby.
ATTEMPT CARJACKING:
Intersection of Madison and N. Fayette Sts. 02-03/ 12:25 a.m. The victim, a 26-year-old male, was driving his vehicle and was stopped at a traffic light when a woman approached his passenger's side window. The victim was then suddenly attacked and punched in the face by another person who had approached by way of the driver's side window. Several other black males attempted to gain entry into the victim's car by opening some of the other car doors. They were not successful as the victim was able to drive away from the group and relocate to a safer location. One of the male suspects was described as a being 18-20 years old, 5'5"-5'7".
