ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

FRIDAY, MARCH 3, 2006

FELONIOUS ASSAULT:

3800 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 03-01/ 10:19 p.m. The victim, a 30-year-old Falls Church man, was in the park when the suspect, whom he does not know, approached him. The suspect began to argue with the victim. When the victim attempted to end the conversation, the suspect cut him on the arm with a bladed utility tool. The victim was able to get away and call police. He refused medical treatment for his minor injury. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 16-19, 5'8", 140 pounds, with a pony tail, and wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans.

ROBBERY:

5400 blk. of Bradford Ct. 03-01/ between 4:00 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. The victim, a 22-year-old Alexandria man, was approached by two men. One displayed a handgun and the other displayed a knife and both robbed him of his wallet. The suspects then fled. The victim was not injured. The suspect with the gun is described as a white Hispanic male, 20-25, 5'6", 160-170 pounds, and wearing a black sweater and black pants. The suspect with the knife is described as a white Hispanic male, 20-25, 5'6", 150-160 pounds, and wearing black clothing.

Jefferson Davis Hwy. at Montrose Ave. The victim, a 56-year-old Alexandria woman, was walking when she noticed the suspect following her. When she looked back, he suddenly ran toward her, grabbed her purse and then fled. Initially the victim ran after him, but then lost sight of him as he ran south on Jefferson Davis Highway. She was not injured. The suspect is described as a black male, 25-29, 6'-6'1", 130-140 pounds, and wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.

5500 blk. of Ascot Ct. 03-01/ 7:45 p.m. The victim, a 53-year-old Alexandria man, was approached by two masked suspects. One displayed a knife and demanded money. The victim complied and both suspects then fled. The suspect with the knife is described as a male, 20-25, 5'9"-5'10", 150-170 pounds, and wearing a green jacket and a costume mask. The second suspect is described as a black male, 20-25, 5'9"-5'10", 150-170 pounds, and wearing a grey sweatshirt and a black ski mask.

BURGLARY:

2100 blk. of Russell Rd. 03-01/ between 8:30 a.m. and 6:40 p.m. Someone broke out the glass in a door to gain entry to the residence. Once inside, the suspect stole money and other valuables.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

4700 blk. of Kenmore Ave. 03-01/ between 7:50 a.m. and 7:55 a.m. Stolen: 1996 Toyota Corolla, 4 door, green.
