ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

MONDAY, MAY 8, 2006

ROBBERY:

4600 blk. of Kenmore Ave. 05-04/ 8:10 p.m. The victim, a 22-year-old Alexandria man, was approached by an acquaintance. The suspect began to yell at the victim and words were exchanged. During the argument, the suspect attempted to cut him with a razor and then punched him in the face. Two other suspects joined in, assaulted the victim and stole a six-pack of beer the victim was carrying. All three suspects then entered a maroon four-door Mercury Marquis and drove away. Suspect #1 is described as a black male, 28 years old, 5'11", 175 pounds and was wearing a white tank-top shirt and blue jean shorts. Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 25-27 years old, and was wearing a white shirt and black jogging shorts. Suspect #3 is described as a black male, 25-27 years old, 5'7"-5'8", and was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

110 S. Bragg St. 05-07/ 9:20 p.m. The victim business was robbed by two men wearing bandanas to cover their faces. The two men entered the hotel lobby, displayed a handgun and demanded money. The clerk on duty complied and the suspects fled on foot. Both men were described as black males. Police were called to the scene and saturated the area. During their search for the suspects, one man was apprehended. The suspect apprehended, Antwon Williams, a 22-year-old male of 8215 Londonderry Court in Laurel, Maryland, was taken into custody and charged with Robbery and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. This investigation continues.

1000 blk. of Queen St. 05-06/ between 11:45 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. The victim, a 31-year-old Alexandria woman, was approached from behind by a man. The suspect grabbed her purse and a struggle ensued. The suspect managed to gain control of the victim's purse and then fled from the area on foot. The suspect was later apprehended by police and taken into custody. The suspect, George Gardner, a 44-year-old male of 3515 Commonwealth Avenue, was charged with Robbery.

BURGLARY:

1018 N. Henry St. 05-06/ between 12:50 a.m. and 1:04 a.m. Someone entered the business by force through a rear door. Once inside, the suspect stole money.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

5100 blk. of Duke St. 04-25/ 12:00 p.m. - 05-01/ 12:00 p.m. Stolen: 2006 Honda Odyssey van, gold.

800 blk. of S. Washington St. 05-02/ 11:00 p.m. - 05-04/ 5:00 p.m. Stolen: 1996 Toyota Corolla, 4 door, dark green.

5200 blk. of Dover Pl. 05-07/ between 2:00 a.m. and 2:44 p.m. Stolen: 1999 Honda Civic, 2 door, silver.

4100 blk. of Duke St. 05-06/ between 10:20 a.m. and 10:27 a.m. Stolen: 1995 Mercedes-Benz, blue.
