ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS
MONDAY, MAY 22, 2006
4118 Mt. Vernon Ave. 05-19/ 1:25 a.m. The victim, a 39-year-old Alexandria man, was working at the laundromat when a customer approached him. The customer was not satisfied with the laundry machines and asked for his money back. When the employee refused, the customer pulled a knife on him and chased him. The victim ran into the office to protect himself. Police arrived and arrested the suspect. Tyrone D. Lowe, 51, of 601 Four Mile Road, Apt. 428, in Alexandria, was charged with Attempted Felonious Assault.
4100 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 05-20/ between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The victim, a 26-year-old Alexandria man, was drinking alcohol with the suspect when they began to argue. The suspect broke a beer bottle and cut the victim with it. The suspect fled and the victim was transported to a hospital where he was treated for a non-life-threatening injury. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 20-35, 5'5"-5'8", 130-165 lbs., and wearing black pants and a black shirt.
200 blk. of E. Oxford St. 05-20/ 8:40 p.m. The victim, a 33-year-old Arlington woman, was getting into a car when a suspect approached her from behind. He grabbed her, forced her to the ground and robbed her of her purse. He ran away and was seen getting into a burgundy sedan with other occupants already inside. The victim was not injured. Police located the suspect and two accomplices a short time later at a nearby shopping center. Thurman L. Duke, 40, of 7213 Beulah Road in Fairfax County, and Deborah Ann Perry, 47, of 5705 Shadwell Court, #100, in Fairfax County, were both charged with Robbery. Stephanie B. Siar, 34, of 5611 Glenwood Mews Place in Fairfax County, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.
