ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

THURSDAY, JUNE 22, 2006

ROBBERY:

4400 blk. of Duke St. 06-21/ 2:29 a.m. The victim, a 29-year-old Alexandria man, was walking to his apartment when he was approached by two men. Both men were armed with handguns. One of the suspects knocked the victim to the ground and stole his wallet. Both suspects then fled from the area on foot. Both suspects are described as black males, one of them was wearing black bandana, sunglasses, black shirt, blue jeans and sneakers.

1200 blk. of Wythe St. 06-22/ 5:30 a.m. The victim, a 50-year-old Alexandria man, was providing a ride to an individual he has seen in the neighborhood but did not know his name. In route to their destination, the suspect passenger punched the victim in the face and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect exited the car and took the victim's car keys before he fled from the area on foot. The suspect is described as a black male, 5'7", 240 pounds, full beard and was wearing a white sleeveless shirt and blue sweat pants.

BURGLARY:

100 blk. of N. West St. 06-20/ between 1:00 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. Someone entered the apartment by force through a kitchen window. Once inside, the suspect stole electronic equipment and clothing items.
