ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

3900 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 08-06/ 10:00 p.m. The victim, a 20-year-old Alexandria man, was in a restaurant when three men approached him. The suspects began punching and kicking the victim. Security within the business intervened and broke the fight up. Police were called and the victim was transported to Inova Alexandria Hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening injuries. The three suspects, Jose Castelan, a 22-year-old male of Milwaukee Wisconsin, Victor Alfonso Rodriguez-Benitez, a 22-year-old male of Germantown Maryland and a 16-year-old male of Germantown Maryland, were arrested and charged with Assault by Mob. The adults were also charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Alexandria detectives made two arrests over the weekend in reference to a Felonious Assault that was first reported in the Daily Incident Report on Monday, July 31. The assault occurred at the intersection of Mount Vernon and Executive Avenues on July 29, at 12:54 a.m. In this case, the victim, a 36-year-old Alexandria man, was attacked by two men. The suspects repeatedly kicked and punched the victim and then struck him with a garbage can before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was treated for his non-life threatening injuries. The suspects, Victor M. Romero-Gomez, a 26-year-old Hispanic male of 3801 Executive Avenue and Gumercindo J. Martinez-Ramirez, a 20-year-old Hispanic male, of 3806 Executive Avenue, were both charged with Malicious Wounding. This case is now closed with two arrests.
