ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9, 2006

ROBBERY:

300 blk. of Yoakum Pkwy. 08-08/ 11:00 p.m. The victim, a 24-year-old Alexandria woman, was about to enter her apartment building when she observed a group of black males standing at the entranceway. When she entered the door, one of the suspects grabbed her purse and the other suspects assisted, dragging the victim away from the door. The suspects managed to gain control of the purse and ran away. Descriptions were given on two of the suspects. Suspect #1 is described as being 20-25 years old, 5'9"-5'11", 190-200 pounds and was wearing a white sleeveless shirt and a white bandana on his head. Suspect #2 is described as being 20-25 years old, 5'5"-5'6", 200 pounds and was wearing a black shirt, black pants and a red bandana on his head.

1000 blk. of Mt. Vernon Ave. 08-09/ 4:46 a.m. The victim, a 23-year-old Alexandria man, was walking when he was attacked by three men. One of the suspects displayed a knife, assaulted the victim and stole cash and a cell phone before running away. The suspects are described as being black males.

700 blk. of N. Washington St. 08-08/ 12:30 a.m. The victim, a 46-year-old Alexandria woman, was approached by a man. The suspect punched her in the face and stole her purse. The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, mustache, 5'6"-6', 150-180 pounds and was wearing a black hat, a dark blue shirt and dark pants.
