Daily Incident Report




100 blk. of S. Whiting St. 08-12/ 2:24 a.m. The victim, a 48-year-old Alexandria man, was approached by five men. One of the suspects demanded money and then struck the victim in the arm with a beer bottle. The victim fell to the ground and was kicked. The suspects then fled from the scene on foot after stealing the victim's cell phone. The suspects were described as being black males. The suspect who assaulted the victim was described as being 6'6", 180 pounds and was wearing a black cap and a silver chain around his neck.

On August 13, at approximately 10:22 p.m., an officer patrolling in the area of this robbery and assault saw what she believed was a fight in progress and stopped her police cruiser to investigate. The suspects fled on foot and the victim advised that the men running away had robbed him the night before. Additional police units were called into the area and the two suspects were apprehended. Antonio Taylor, a 19-year-old Alexandria man, was charged with Robbery and a 17-year-old male City resident was questioned. Follow up investigation is being handled by detectives.


1024 Cameron St. 08-13/ between 2:45 a.m. and 2:55 a.m. Someone entered the business by force through a glass window. Once inside, the suspect stole a cash register. A suspect, described as a black male, 6' and wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, was seen running from the business.

1000 King St. 08-12/ 6:00 p.m. - 08-13/ 12:00 p.m. Someone entered the business by force through a side window. Once inside, the suspect stole money.

200 blk. of Buchanan St. 08-07/ 7:30 p.m. - 08-10/ 10:00 a.m. Someone entered the victim's unsecured porch and stole a bicycle.


2100 blk. of Jefferson Davis Hwy. 08-11/ 6:30 p.m. - 08-12/ 6:30 a.m. Stolen: 1989 Chevrolet Astro van, white.
