ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

BURGLARY:
621 King Street between 08/30 11:13 p.m. and 08/31 12:31 a.m. An unknown suspect gained entry to the business and took cash. There was no sign of forced entry.
400 block of East Glendale Avenue 08/31 2:47 p.m. An unknown suspect entered the residence through an open window. The victim, a 34-year-old male, was at home at the time of the offense. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect threatened him with a kitchen knife. The victim cooperated and was not injured. The suspect stole cash and fled. He is described only as a black male. He was last seen in a black sport utility vehicle of unknown make and model.
4300 block of Duke Street between 08/29 1:30 p.m. and 08/31 4:50 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residence by undetermined means. Once inside, the suspect stole decorative items.
GRAND LARCENY AUTO:
1200 block of North Quaker Lane 08/27 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Stolen: 2006 Nissan Sentra, 4-door, silver.
200 block of South Van Dorn Street 08/30 between 4:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Stolen: 1994 Lincoln Continental Mark VIII, 4-door, black.
***Minor flooding was reported on lower King Street overnight. Barricades were placed at the intersection of King and Union Streets and halfway between King and Prince Streets on Strand Street. No damage was reported.***
