ALEXANDRIA POLICE INCIDENTS

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2006

ROBBERY-ARREST:

Intersection of Leslie Street and East Custis Avenue 09/14 10:25 p.m. The victim, a 34-year-old Alexandria woman, was walking when the suspect approached her and grabbed her purse. There was a struggle for the purse and the victim screamed for help. She was not injured. The suspect fled but was captured nearby after a K-9 team located him hiding under a car on Terrett Avenue. Delonte A. Harris, 19-year-old male of 2503 Terrett Avenue in Alexandria, was arrested and charged with Robbery.

BURGLARY:

600 block of North Payne Street 09/14 between 11:30 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. Someone gained entry to the residence through a sliding door. Once inside, the suspect stole jewelry.
