ALEXANDRIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2007

ATTEMPT ROBBERY:

200 block of South Van Dorn Street 2/7 between 8:20 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The victim, a 30-year-old Alexandria woman, was walking from her car when two suspects attempted to rob her. Both suspects tried to grab a bag she was carrying but when she resisted, they fled. The victim was not injured. One suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 17-25, 5'6"-5'8", 150-170 pounds, and wearing a black coat, black pants, and a black knit hat. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 17-25, 5'9"-5'11", 200-230 pounds, and wearing a black coat, black pants, and a black knit mask. They were last seen driving away in a green Honda Civic.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

900 block of North Van Dorn Street 1/31 between 1:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Stolen: 1994 Dodge Caravan, mini-van, green.
