ALEXANDRIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

ROBBERY:

6300 block of Stevenson Avenue 3/21 between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The victim, a 47-year-old Fairfax man, was outside his vehicle when the suspect approached him. The suspect struck him and when the victim fell to the ground, the suspect removed the victim's wallet. The victim got up and attempted to fight back, punching the suspect. The suspect then brandished a knife and cut the victim's hand with it. The suspect ran away and the victim drove off to get help. The victim was treated at Inova Fairfax Hospital for a minor injury. The suspect is described as a black male, in his late 20s, 5'9" to 5'11", 180 to 190 pounds, and wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
