ALEXANDRIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

ABDUCTION-ARREST:

600 block of North Henry Street 3/25 at 1:15 a.m. The victim, a 24-year-old Alexandria woman, was walking when a man she did not know began following her. He grabbed her and forced her to the ground a short distance from the road. Two police officers observed the abduction and intervened, pulling the suspect off of the victim and arresting him. The victim was not injured. William L. Moreno Rubio, a 20-year-old with no fixed address, was charged with Abduction.

BURGLARY:

3901 Mount Vernon Avenue 3/24 at 2:33 a.m. Someone gained entry to the restaurant through a vent. Nothing appears to be missing.

4100 block of Tulsa Place 3/23 between 10:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The suspect gained entry to the residence, possibly through an unlocked door, but did not take anything. The suspect is described as a white Hispanic male, 5'5" to 5'7", 150 to 170 pounds, and wearing a black mask over his face, a white t-shirt, and blue jeans.

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

100 block of South Bragg Street 3/24 between 5:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Stolen: 1999 Nissan Sentra, 4 door, black.
