ALEXANDRIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4, 2007

ROBBERY:

3600 block of Edison Street 4/2 at 7:15 p.m. The victim, a 56-year-old Alexandria man, had left his door open and the suspect entered the victim's residence through the open door. The suspect grabbed a television the victim was holding and began to leave. When the victim tried to stop him, the suspect punched him. The suspect then fled from the building with the television. The victim refused medical treatment. The suspect is described as a black male, 40 to 45, 5'8" to 5'9" tall, weighing 155 to 160 pounds, and wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.

BURGLARY:

4200 block of Maple Tree Court 4/3 between 11:30 a.m. and 6:10 p.m. Someone forced open a window screen to gain entry to the residence. Once inside, the suspect stole money.
