FELONIOUS ASSAULT:
1200 block of North Quaker Lane. Between 07/05 at 12:15 A.M. and 07/05 at 12:25 A.M. The victim, a 23 year-old Washington, DC man, received a laceration as he attempted to break up an altercation. The suspect fled. The victim was treated on site and released. The suspect is described as a black male, 35 to 40 years old, 5’11” to 6’01”, 200 to 220 lbs. and wore black pants with no shirt.
BURGLARY:
3800 block of Florence Drive. Between 07/03 at 2:00 A.M. and 07/03 at 2:30 A.M. The victim, a 19 year-old Alexandria man, reports that an unknown suspect(s) entered his apartment by unknown means and took several electronic items.
GRAND LARCENY (AUTO):
1200 block of Martha Custis Drive. Between 07/03 at 3:00 P.M. and 07/04 at 4:00 P.M.
Stolen: 1999 Honda Civic, 4-door, black.
4900 block of Seminary Road. Between 07/04 at 12:00 A.M. and 07/04 at 8:30 A.M.
Stolen: 1996 Honda Civic, 4-door, green.
3400 block of Branch Avenue. Between 07/04 at 2:00 A.M. and 07/04 at 1:45 P.M.
Stolen: 1999 Honda Civic, 2-door, dark green.
GRAND LARCENY (OTHER):
South Columbus Street and Jefferson Street. Between 06/30 at 9:30 P.M. and 07/01 at 2:00 P.M. Stolen: 2006 Yamaha Motor Scooter, black top with a silver bottom.
SUSPICIOUS PACKAGE:
400 block of E. Alexandria Avenue. Between 07/04 at 6:04 P.M. and 07/04 at 6:05 P.M. A City resident requested the removal of a box containing World War II ammunition and other explosive-type devices. Army EOD was notified and responded to the scene and verified its contents. The box was transported to a nearby construction site where it was detonated with a controlled explosion.
