Daily Incident Report

ALEXANDRIA POLICE DEPARTMENT

ROBBERY:

 

6000 block of Tower Court.  9/7 between 9:50 P.M. and 10:10 P.M.  The victims, a 42 year-old Alexandria woman and a 15 year-old Alexandria boy, report that an unknown suspect took cash and electronic items in separate incidents.  The suspect claimed to be an undercover Alexandria police officer.  The victims were not injured.  The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens to early 20’s, 5’08” to 5’10”, between 150 and 180 lbs.

 

3500 block of Mount Vernon Avenue.  9/9 at 7:35 A.M. The victim, a 24 year-old Prince George’s County, Maryland man, was attempting to make a bank deposit for the CVS Store located at 3811 Mount Vernon Avenue when he was confronted by two suspects.  One suspect displayed a pistol.  The suspects took cash, electronic items and personal property from the victim and a witness.  The suspects then fled the area on foot.   The suspects are both described as white Hispanic males, ~5’06”, 140 to 150 lbs.  At least one suspect had his face covered.

 

BURGLARY:

 

500 block of Robinson Court.  9/10 at 2:25 A.M.  The victim, a 22 year-old Alexandria woman, reports that an unknown suspect accosted her inside her home.  The victim was able to break free from the suspect and run to where other family members were sleeping.  The suspect fled, removing cash, personal property and electronic items.  A search of the area by K-9 and helicopter proved negative.  The suspect is described as a black male in his early 20’s, 5’09” to 5’10”, 160 to 170 lbs.  He had short, wavy hair, a dark complexion and was clean-shaven.  His shirt and pants were both black.

 

3300 block of South 28th Street.  Between 7/1 at 12:01 A.M. and 9/9 at 7:11 P.M.  Unknown suspect(s) entered the storage unit and stole power tools.

 

PEEPING TOM/ARREST:

 

1200 block of Martha Custis Drive.  9/9 at 3:05 A.M.  The victim, a 31 year-old Alexandria woman, reports that the suspect and a companion looking through her rear window.  Police charged Ever Javier Sosa Murillo, 18, with Peeping Tom, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Alcohol by a Person <21 and Drunk in Public.  His companion was not located.

 

HIT & RUN PERSONAL INJURY/ARREST:

 

Intersection of King and Henry Streets.  9/8 at 1:00 A.M.  While working a Mobile DUI Detail in the area a police officer observed a vehicle speeding.  When he attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver attempted to elude the officer by failing to stop at a red traffic light on King Street at Henry Street.  The officer did not pursue the vehicle.  The vehicle was involved in a crash involving multiple other cars at that intersection which resulted in injury to one driver.  The driver and passenger of the suspect vehicle then fled the scene on foot.  Another officer apprehended the driver several blocks away.  Police charged Deon Thornton, 23, of 241 Buchanan Street in Alexandria with Felony Hit & Run, Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon and various traffic charges.

 

GRAND LARCENY AUTO:

 

3600 block of Edison Street.  Between 8/29 at 10:00 A.M. and 9/6 at 11:30 A.M. 

Stolen:  2004 Toyota Camry, 4-door, grey.
