The Personal Property Tax Relief Act of 1998 reduces taxes on a percentage of the first $20,000 in value for passenger cars, motorcycles, sport utility vehicles, and trucks with a registered gross weight less than 7,501 lbs. that are NOT used more than 50% for business purposes. Failure to certify your vehicles may result in the loss of the tax reduction on your tax bill.
